TRAINING

I trained at the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts (Falmouth University) on their BA (Hons) Acting course from 2021- 2024, graduating with a First Class Honours degree. During my time at Falmouth University, I trained in a variety of acting disciplines; looking at practitioners including Chekov, Laban, Shakespeare and Stanislavski, whilst also being exposed to the more modern acting disciplines of acting in recorded media, including radio, animation and screen studies. I was encouraged to push myself in the safe environments that were created within our classes and this ultimately helped me discover my true capabilities and who I am as an actor. Prior to this, starting in September 2020 I trained for a year part time at the Young Actors Studio in Cardiff (Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama). As part of this I had the benefit of training and workshops by actors, writers and directors such as Matthew Bulgo (writer of The Awkward Years and Constellation Street, actor in the RSC's Julius Caesar and National Theatre Nye) and Branwen Davies (Dirty Protest Theatre Company) during my time there. I have been instructed by Olivier award winner and former director at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Bill Alexander, in workshops focusing on interpreting Shakespearean text with a particular focus on The Merchant of Venice.

Stage Combat

In order to expand my skill set I have trained in stage combat with fight director Maisie Carter, whose credits include The Comedy of Errors and The Tempest at The Globe and The Clinic at Almedia Theatre. I have industry recognised qualifications in Basic Broadsword, Basic Single Sword and Basic Staff from the Academy of Performance Combat. Whilst living in Cornwall, I achieved my Riding for Actors Level 1 qualification with Swashbuckling Cornwall. I look forward to furthering my training in both stage combat and horse riding.

Singing & Dance

I have been training in Irish dance in both soft shoe and heavy shoe for 2 years and am currently at Intermediate Level under the WIDA (World Irish Dance Association) classification for soft shoe. Despite never having taken formal exams, I am proficient in contemporary, jazz and hip hop. I have taken singing lessons with an Estill based perspective for a number of years in order to improve my technique and my acting through song.
